A Federal High Court in Abuja sentences four men to death by hanging for their roles in the 5 June 2022 attack on St. Francis Xavier (also reported as St. Francis Catholic) Church in Owo, Ondo State. The attack occurred while the church was celebrating Pentecost, and worshippers were targeted during the service. According to the reports, the attack results in the deaths of more than 40 people and serious injuries to more than 100 others.
