Apple announces it will open Europe’s first Apple Developer Center in Berlin, Germany, later this year. The facility will be Apple’s fifth developer center, joining locations already in Cupertino, Shanghai, Singapore, and Bengaluru. Apple says the Berlin center will be in Berlin’s Mitte district and is designed to support developers across Europe with in-person sessions, workshops, and one-on-one appointments available in multiple languages. The company describes dedicated consultation areas and labs staffed by Apple experts.
Apple also outlines a regular schedule of events covering development for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. It says the programming is aimed at helping developers improve the design, quality, and performance of their apps, and is intended for teams of different sizes and at various stages of app development.
Beyond the center itself, Apple highlights developer support in Europe, including initiatives such as the Swift Student Challenge, Apple Developer Academies, and Foundation Programs in Italy and France. Apple also points to App Store Small Business Program terms, including a reduced 15% commission rate for eligible small and individual developers, and notes that European storefronts averaged more than 150 million weekly users in 2025.
