The hotel owner has been arrested. According to reports, the owner says they were told that “everything works in Delhi” and also attributes responsibility to another person involved in the hotel’s day-to-day operations. Investigators are examining whether structural or room expansions were carried out and whether the hotel’s operating arrangements and approvals matched applicable requirements.
