The Guardian reports that, during proceedings in Melbourne magistrates court, prosecutors alleged Ahmad lived with a teenage girl who was treated as a slave and repeatedly assaulted and raped by Ahmad’s father. Ahmad’s application is heard about a month after she was charged. The charges centre on alleged slavery and exploitation, including the alleged co-residence with the teenage victim and the alleged abuse perpetrated by Ahmad’s father. The matter is currently before the court, and the allegations have not been tested in court.
