A Brisbane woman, Kylie Ellina Truswell-Mobbs (also reported as Kylie Truswell Mobbs), is granted bail after being charged with the murder of her husband, David Ronald Mobbs. David Mobbs, 56, was living with motor neurone disease (motor neuron disease). Prosecutors allege that she provided her husband with lethal medication, described in one report as a “lethal cocktail” of drugs.
ABC Australia reports that the decision is based on new evidence considered by the judge. The judge is said to have referenced evidence suggesting David Mobbs was “resolute” in his desire to die, including that he had expressed a wish not to continue living if his illness became intolerable.
