AI-native insurance startup Corgi announces it raises a $160 million Series B funding round at a $1.3 billion valuation, roughly four months after closing its Series A at a $630 million valuation. TechCrunch and The Next Web report the Series B is led by TCV. PR Newswire also states that the round supports Corgi’s effort to expand its full-stack insurance platform into new insurance verticals.
Corgi describes its product as AI-native and built to offer “full-stack” insurance capabilities for startups, including quoting and risk modelling. In addition to its initial startup-focused insurance, the company says it plans to expand into trucking, arguing that similar automation and compression of quoting and risk modelling processes can be applied in that market. The Next Web characterizes the growth as doubling the valuation from the prior round and enabling expansion beyond its original startup insurance focus.
All sources agree on the headline figures: a $160 million Series B, a $1.3 billion valuation, and a rapid valuation increase following the company’s January Series A.
