Apple’s visionOS 27 beta introduces a set of user-facing updates for the Vision Pro, including “Apple Intelligence” and Siri AI capabilities. Sources say Siri AI is more tightly integrated into the headset experience, with a feature that lets users ask Siri about what they see, using Visual Intelligence to interpret surroundings in real time and provide contextual answers. Interaction is designed to be hands-free: users can place a new 3D Siri orb in their space and begin a conversation by looking at it, without needing a “Hey Siri” command. A new Siri app is also included to revisit and continue prior interactions.
The software update further adds eye-aware notifications that automatically expand when users look at them. It also brings display and interface changes such as curved window layouts for apps like Safari, Freeform, and Apple TV, and a redesigned Control Center that separates notifications, media, system controls, and immersive environment options. Additional enhancements include the ability to convert panoramic photos into immersive environments, smaller widgets, and improvements for Safari “web environments,” which use immersive APIs. Apple also says visionOS 27 improves Wi‑Fi performance and adds developer tools and frameworks. The developer beta is available now, with Siri AI rolling out later this year as an English-only beta; EU availability is described as starting from launch.
