Google is rolling out “Gemini 3.5 Live Translate,” a new speech-to-speech translation model designed for live multilingual conversations. Across reporting, Google says the system detects more than 70 languages and produces continuously updated, near real-time translations rather than waiting for turn-by-turn responses.

The company also describes the output as more natural-sounding than earlier approaches, including preservation of the speaker’s tone, pacing, and intonation. Multiple outlets report that Gemini 3.5 Live Translate is being integrated into Google’s products, including Google Meet and Google Translate, and is also available through Google AI Studio. Developer access is reported via the Gemini Live API.

Rollout coverage indicates the model is reaching end users through Google’s apps (including both Android and iOS for Google Translate) as well as broader platform integrations for different user groups. Product and platform availability is stated consistently, while specific performance benchmarks are mainly described through Google’s claims.
