But instead of being unrealistic or fantastical (like in the Pinocchio story), it's an actually realistic and unsettling look at what would happened to someone if this really happened. Adapted from the novel of the same name written by Daniel Kraus. "The odds of being swallowed alive by a whale are not zero." A scuba diver searching for his father's remains in the ocean is swallowed by a sperm whale, leaving him an hour to find a way to escape. The hard-earned lessons that his late father imparted may be the key to his escape. Reminds me of other contained survival thrillers like Buried and 127 Hours. Whalefall stars Austin Abrams as the diver eaten by the whale, along with Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, and Emily Rudd. This is such an intense teaser! Wow!
