San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo extends his historic hitting streak to 18 games, which is the longest active streak in Major League Baseball. In the Giants’ 11-10 walk-off win over the Washington Nationals at Oracle Park on Wednesday, Lee delivers another multihit game, going 2-for-4 with a walk and a steal and scoring twice. The streak includes nine multihit games during June, and Lee raises his season batting average to about .338.

The streak continues after his previous game on Tuesday, when Lee reached 17 straight games with two RBIs despite a 6-3 Giants loss to the Nationals. Across the two contests, Lee produces hits in multiple innings, including an extra-base hit on Tuesday that drives in runs and a key single in Wednesday’s middle innings.

With the latest extension, Lee also sets the longest hitting streak by a South Korean player in MLB history, surpassing earlier marks of 16 games held by Choo Shin-soo (2013, Cincinnati Reds) and Kim Ha-seong (2023, San Diego Padres).
