Ruse, a World War II RTS from 2010 featuring bluffing mechanics, is again available on Steam following a major re-release. Multiple outlets report that the game was removed from sale more than a decade ago, when Ubisoft took it down, and that it has now returned online. The re-release is credited to Eugen Systems, the original developer, which now makes the title available again with content and compatibility updates. The updated version includes all previously released downloadable content, according to the reports, and also adds “technical updates.” In addition, the re-release adds full support for the Steam Deck, expanding accessibility for players on Valve’s handheld device. Polygon and PC Gamer both describe Ruse as an RTS built around deception and strategy, and both frame the return as a significant availability change after years of absence from Steam. The current listings and distribution reflect the new release and its bundled DLC and platform support, rather than a simple re-appearance of the original version.
