On Sunday morning, Phivolcs recorded another aftershock in Sarangani at magnitude 4.9. Its epicenter was southeast of Balut Island and Phivolcs initially logged it at 5.2 before downgrading it to 4.9; the reported depth was 33 km. On Thursday morning (June 11), a magnitude 5.5 aftershock hit about 67 km southwest of Balut Island, with a depth of 10 km. Separately, Phivolcs also logged a magnitude 6.6 earthquake in Davao Oriental on Monday evening, described as tectonic, with an epicenter about 164 km east of Gen. Generoso and a depth of 86 km. Another aftershock on Wednesday afternoon in Sarangani was recorded at magnitude 4.6 with reported intensities across nearby cities and towns.
