Maharashtra cyber police register a case against comedian Pranit More, web developer Himanshu Jangra and others over remarks made during a comedy show that have drawn complaints and legal action, according to multiple reports. The controversy follows Jangra’s narration on the programme about spending ₹370 on chicken biryani on a date, after which a woman allegedly asked to be dropped home. In the sequence described by viewers, Jangra says he sought sexual favours in connection with the money spent. Reports say More is seen laughing during the exchange.

In response to media coverage and a viral video of the show, India’s National Commission for Women (NCW) takes suo motu cognisance and summons Pranit More and Jangra for questioning. Times of India also reports that the case concerns allegations of circulating obscene content, and mentions summons issued for Sejal Pawar. The reports further cite additional allegedly offensive remarks made during the same performance, including references to medical cadavers, which are described as part of the police complaint and the allegations being investigated.
