Tecno’s new mid-range smartphone, the Pova 8, is presented as an upgrade to the previous Pova 7, with changes focused mainly on power and the exterior “camera island” lighting concept. Several outlets describe a new design featuring an “Alive Matrix Display” on the back: a small dot-matrix display integrated into the third lens area of the phone’s camera module. While the back design may suggest multiple camera lenses, at least one source notes that the device has a single actual camera within that island.
Both sources characterize the Pova 8 as retaining much of the overall positioning and core setup of the Pova 7, while adding notable improvements. The battery capacity increases to 8,000mAh from 6,000mAh, and TÜV SÜD testing is cited as indicating roughly two days of use on a single charge. At the same time, at least one report frames other aspects as similar to the earlier model.
