Google is beginning to roll out Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 to eligible Pixel phones as part of the QPR (Quarterly Platform Release) beta cycle. The update follows Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3, which was released a few weeks earlier, shortly after “The Android Show: I/O Edition 2026.”

The rollout starts with supported devices including the Pixel 6a, while the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not listed as receiving the build and have not yet received the new update. The reported firmware/build version for the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro is CP31.260522.006.A1, with other eligible Pixels receiving additional build identifiers.

One outlet reports that the release focuses on resolving multiple issues, listing seven bug fixes, and does not indicate the introduction of new user-facing features. As with prior beta updates, availability depends on device eligibility and rollout timing, and changes are primarily expected to be incremental stability improvements rather than major functionality updates.
