Multiple WonderHowTo posts compile creative options for using leftover Thanksgiving food beyond the usual turkey-and-cranberry sandwich. The ideas center on repurposing common leftovers—turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie—into new meals, snacks, and beverages. Turkey is suggested for more than sandwiches, including dishes like turkey tikka masala, turkey dumplings, and turkey tacos. Mashed potatoes are described as versatile, including turning them into croquettes by coating them with breadcrumbs or panko. Stuffing is proposed as an ingredient for stuffed baked items, such as stuffing mixed into mushrooms. Cranberry sauce is used both in food and drinks, including a tangy cracker dip when combined with cream cheese and nuts, and as an addition to mixed alcoholic drinks. Pumpkin pie leftovers are repurposed for a breakfast casserole made with oats and maple syrup, and for a pumpkin pie milkshake. Other recommendations include simmering turkey bones, skin, and meat for an extended period to make turkey broth. The overall theme is using leftover components creatively to vary flavor and texture across subsequent days.
