Israeli authorities deport a French journalist, Alice Froussard, after denying her entry at Ben Gurion Airport, according to her employer and multiple rights and press organizations. Radio France Internationale (RFI) and the Foreign Press Association in Israel say Froussard arrives from Paris and is questioned, detained, and then placed on a return flight to France. RFI says she holds the necessary travel authorization and had applied for a press visa to work in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the deportation, according to Wafa news agency, and calls on international bodies to take practical steps to compel Israel to meet its legal obligations, including ensuring journalists have free access to occupied Palestine. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) also reports that Froussard is detained, interrogated, and deported at Ben Gurion Airport.

Froussard has reported for years from Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, including coverage of Gaza. The CPJ says that in 2025 at least 84 journalists and media workers are killed by Israeli forces, most in Gaza, though that figure is not directly tied to this specific incident.
