Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) opens India’s first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab in Kolkata, according to multiple reports. The lab is positioned as an enabling facility for enterprises that want to make their data “AI-ready” and then deploy AI-powered applications and automation at scale. TCS says the initiative supports organisations in building and operationalising AI use cases using an Oracle AI data platform approach.
NDTV and other outlets also report that TCS plans to extend the effort beyond Kolkata. Over the next three years, the company intends to set up similar Oracle AI Data Platform Labs and centres of excellence in four additional Indian cities. The announcements frame the expansion as part of TCS’s broader AI push, with the Kolkata lab serving as the initial location for the India rollout.
While the outlets focus on the lab’s purpose and the expansion timeline, they largely do not provide further details on specific technologies, participating customers, or the exact cities that will receive the next facilities.
