Royal Enfield announces a ₹2,200 crore investment to establish its first manufacturing facility outside Tamil Nadu, at Satyavedu in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, near the Andhra Pradesh–Tamil Nadu border. The company plans to develop the project in two phases. Business Standard reports the investment is spread across two phases to create a state-of-the-art manufacturing setup at the site.
The Hindu adds that the plant will be built on 267 acres. The project is designed to expand Royal Enfield’s manufacturing capacity by an estimated nine lakh units. It also targets employment creation, with around 5,000 direct and indirect jobs expected.
In terms of timing, The Hindu states that the first phase is scheduled for completion by 2029 and the second phase by 2032.
