Bengaluru-based fintech firm Razorpay is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and is expected to file a confidential Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with Indian market regulators within about a week, with one report suggesting this may occur next week. Sources indicate the proposed IPO size is likely to be around USD 500 million to USD 600 million, translating to roughly ₹4,700 crore to ₹5,700 crore. The offer is expected to include both a fresh issue of shares and an Offer for Sale (OFS), with sources saying the two components are expected to contribute almost equally to the overall size.
Razorpay is also reported to be targeting a valuation in the range of USD 5 billion to USD 6 billion through the public listing, subject to approvals from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and other regulatory authorities. Multiple investment banks, including Axis Capital, Kotak Mahindra Capital, JPMorgan, and Citi, are mentioned as managing or advising the transaction. Razorpay has not made an official comment on the DRHP filing or IPO timeline in the reports.
