Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay (TVK founder) visits the Mookambika Temple in Kollur, Udupi district, Karnataka, to offer prayers to Goddess Mookambika. Sources say this is his first trip to Karnataka after taking charge. He arrives at Mangaluru International Airport and is received by Karnataka Health Minister U T Khader and district officials before travelling to the temple with security arrangements in place. The temple management committee welcomes him with a Poorna Kumbha Kalasha ceremony. Reports add that Vijay dons traditional clothing, participates in special rituals including the Maha Pooje, and spends around 20 to 30 minutes inside the temple premises. During the visit, he offers the deity a silver sword weighing about 1.6 kilograms, which temple authorities later receive ceremonially. He also seeks blessings and participates in temple observances such as Mangalarati. The visit draws attention from devotees and is covered by media as part of the broader political and public activities around the time of his arrival in the region.
