According to police sources, the email is received at around 6:30 p.m. and triggers alerts at Hyderabad airport, where security personnel conduct checks across airport premises and on flights. Authorities say no suspicious items are found during the search, while a case is registered and the matter is investigated.
The incident follows closely on a separate bomb-threat event earlier in the week. On May 16, a bomb threat email received at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was later treated as a hoax after a thorough security verification. Separately, on Friday, a bomb threat note reportedly found on an IndiGo flight in Lucknow led to a major security response, including precautionary actions involving the aircraft.
Authorities have not disclosed further operational details about the Lufthansa threat beyond the initiation of checks and the decision to investigate.
