A 21-year-old man is arrested in Uttar Pradesh after posing as a military officer and presenting a fake National Security Guard (NSG) cover, according to reports. He is said to have been travelling in a modified SUV decorated with military insignia and to have maintained the deception for several weeks. During this period, he allegedly accompanied two other men who were presented as NSG commandos, reinforcing the claim that he had special security credentials. Authorities also report that the accused was found with an air pistol, which he carried while projecting the identity of a Brigadier. The arrest follows the identification of the impersonation and related falsification of authority-linked markers and associations. All accounts describe the case as a coordinated impersonation operation involving both the man’s claimed rank and the use of accomplices posing as NSG personnel. The police investigation is underway to determine how long the group operated, whether they attempted to influence or access people or locations using the false cover, and if any additional individuals are involved.
