Ejike Mbaka, addresses criticism from some Peter Obi supporters by describing his alleged past involvement during Obi’s impeachment as governor of Anambra State. Speaking during a church programme on Friday, Mbaka says he took “huge” or “significant” risks to support Obi during what he refers to as the impeachment ordeal, and argues that many current public backers were not present during that period. He denies claims that he failed to support Obi and insists he is not a “problem” to him. Mbaka also makes the case that he acted out of commitment to his people, describing himself as “a solution, not a problem.” In his remarks, he refers to individuals he claims were witnesses to events connected to the impeachment, including Chris Uba and Cletus Ibeto, and challenges critics to “go and ask” those involved.
