IIT Madras has opened applications for the US–India TRUST Fellowship 2026–27, a programme designed to strengthen research collaboration between India and the United States. The fellowship is a 12-month initiative that brings post-doctoral researchers and early-career faculty from U.S. institutions to work in India. Participating fellows undertake advanced research across emerging and strategic technology areas, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, biotechnology, defence, energy, and space-related fields. According to reports, the programme includes full financial and institutional support for selected participants. IIT Madras is accepting applications for the fellowship, with prospective candidates required to submit their entries through the programme’s application process. The fellowship is framed as a way to deepen cooperation between researchers and research institutions in both countries while supporting work on high-priority technological domains.
