Police in London are investigating a fatal stabbing in Southall after Gurbhej Singh, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident takes place on North Road near the junction with Dormers Wells Lane, with emergency services called shortly after midnight on Wednesday, shortly before or around 12.30am to 12.41am. Reports say Singh was found outside a shop with a knife wound and died despite efforts by paramedics. A second man, reported to be in his 30s, was also injured in the attack and was taken to hospital; he was later discharged, according to one account.

The Metropolitan Police say a murder inquiry is under way. Detectives have arrested seven men on suspicion of murder. Several suspects are later released without further action, while one remains on bail pending further questioning, and others are reported as being in custody or receiving medical treatment for injuries. Police have not publicly disclosed a motive. Officers continue to appeal for witnesses and CCTV footage from the area at the time. Singh’s family is reported to have been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
