King Charles gives etiquette guidance to Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis during Trooping the Colour

The pomp military procession takes place every year in celebration of the Sovereign’s official birthday, and sees the most senior royals assemble in London for the ceremony. Ever since the royal kids — we’re talking Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight — have been old enough to join in with the festivities, they’ve stolen the limelight. This includes Louis’ hilarious balcony antics and George giving protective big-brother vibes. Now, Jeremy Freeman, an expert lip reader, has revealed some of the conversations that took place between the Wales’ this weekend, from King Charles sweetly guiding his granddaughter Charlotte in flypast etiquette, to Kate Middleton teaching Louis the National Anthem rules. During the Red Arrows flypast, which, for those uninitiated, is when the Red Arrows fly over London to conclude the event, the King and co watched from the Buckingham Palace balcony. At one point, Charlotte was seen looking up to her grandfather for advice. Freeman told the Express she asked: ‘Time to wave?’ to which the monarch responded: ‘Very good. Now we give a wave.’ A lip reader has shared the conversations that took place on the balcony (Picture: Getty Images) The lipreader then claimed that Charles said to the rest of his family — which included Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, George, Louis, Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence — ‘Wave to everyone. Cheerio.’ Freeman said the king concluded with: ‘That’s right, thank you very much.’ Meanwhile, Louis, who was caught on camera yet again leaning to catch the flypast — which made for some great photography — reportedly asked his father: ‘Is there more?’ William replied to his youngest son: ‘No, that’s it. Just before the flypast, Freeman told the Mirror that Kate reminded the young prince that he had to stand to attention for the national anthem. ‘National anthem. Louis, stand,’ she said, to which the youngster adhered to his mother’s instructions. Finally, the king and two future monarchs shared a wholesome discussion during the Red Arrows event. Freeman said that King Charles asked his son what aircraft was flying over them. William reportedly replied: ‘Errr is that Poseidon?
