The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe allegations of “missing donations” connected to the Ram Temple. According to reports, the SIT is set up on the request of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Trust. One outlet says the SIT is directed to submit a preliminary report within seven days, while also being required to file a final report within 15 days. Another report specifies the team as a three-member SIT and likewise states it is formed at the trust’s behest, with an early report targeted within a week. The reports do not provide additional details about the alleged donations, the scope of the investigation, or the individuals or organizations under scrutiny.
