Sources name Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the APM national chairman, and Dr Yakubu Adamu, the party’s Bauchi governorship candidate, as part of the delegation.
After a closed-door meeting, Mohammed commiserates with Makinde and the affected families and praises Makinde’s efforts aimed at securing the safe release of the abducted pupils and teachers. He expresses hope that the children and teachers will be freed soon.
The reports also say Mohammed uses the occasion to call for broader changes to Nigeria’s security approach, including improved coordination among security agencies and better public collaboration. He links the rise in insecurity to factors such as poverty, poor governance, and economic hardship, and urges the public to remain vigilant and not provide assistance to criminals.
