Television actress Sanchita Ugale, known for roles in shows including “Kumkum Bhagya” and “Wagle Ki Duniya,” dies by suicide at her residence in Nalasopara East. Reports say she was found dead on June 14 and that she was 22 years old, though some outlets also reported an age of 30. Police state she was found hanging from a ceiling fan after locking herself inside her bedroom, using a saree. Her family members and local residents took her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Police conduct a preliminary inquiry, register an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and send the body for a post-mortem, investigating from all angles.

Her father, Machhindra Ugale, says she was dealing with depression and experiencing constant pressure and harassment, and he demands a thorough investigation and justice. A friend and colleague, Megha Sharma, says she had no issues related to work. Several reports also note that Ugale shared a cheerful Instagram reel shortly before her death and that her earlier public comments touched on mental health concerns.
