Nothing signs memoranda of understanding with IIT Roorkee and the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID) at IISc, announced during Bharat Innovates 2026 in France. The agreements are intended to strengthen India’s deep-tech innovation ecosystem by linking academic research with industry and startup support. According to the companies, the collaboration with IIT Roorkee includes mentorship and industry engagement, along with a focus on developing and supporting deep-tech initiatives. The MoU also involves an Industrial Design Challenge, as part of efforts to encourage practical technology development. The IISc-FSID partnership is aimed at supporting startups emerging from the ecosystem, including incubated companies, through networking, pilot projects, and potential commercial opportunities. Both sources describe the partnerships as covering training and startup incubation-related support, and emphasize academia-industry collaboration as a pathway for research commercialisation and entrepreneurship. Senior Indian and global dignitaries attend the signing ceremony, with the initiative framed as helping students and startups build technology solutions with global competitiveness.
