Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke is slapped during a protest in Jaipur, prompting a scuffle and police detentions. The incident happens at Shaheed Smarak as Dipke arrives to address supporters at a rally organised by the party. The demonstration focuses on alleged NEET paper leaks, alleged education-system irregularities, and unemployment concerns. According to multiple reports, youths in the crowd approach Dipke and slap him while he is moving toward the stage, after which Dipke’s supporters surround the attackers and a confrontation breaks out. Police intervene at the venue and take control of the situation to prevent further escalation. The outlets report that police detain six people in connection with the incident; one report also states that five people are arrested. A viral video shows the alleged assailant speaking while in custody, saying he believed Dipke was misleading people and that no NEET paper leak occurred. Dipke later posts on social media saying he will continue protests peacefully, and reiterates a demand for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign. Reports also note that police initially refused permission for the protest before it was later granted with conditions after discussions with party representatives.
