Michaels is expanding its in-store photo printing and framing offerings across North America. The retailer says it is adding a more integrated “screen-to-store” experience that pairs professional-grade printing technology with its framing and matting expertise. Michaels will provide same-day fine art photo prints up to 16 x 20 inches, along with custom framing services. The company positions the prints as archival-quality and says the service is designed to be delivered quickly, including producing prints and completing custom frames in minutes.
The expansion builds on Michaels’ existing role as a destination for frames, custom framing, and matting supplies. In addition to printing, Michaels’ stores offer custom mats and framing options as part of a single in-store service. The company presents the update as a way to help customers turn digital images into finished, framed photo products during the same visit, with larger-format printing now available at select scales (up to 16 x 20).
