Producer Amit Jani has sent a legal notice to actor Govind Namdev over the actor’s public comments about the film “Kala Hiran,” according to multiple reports. The notice comes after Namdev publicly expressed disappointment and concern related to the film’s teaser. Jani, who is associated with the production of the film, asks Namdev to issue a public apology within seven days. In addition to the apology, Jani seeks Rs 50 lakh in compensation for the production house.

The outlets also report that Jani’s allegations extend beyond the teaser remarks. NDTV specifically notes that Jani claims Namdev had signed on for “Kala Hiran” and had also agreed to participate in a sequel. The reports present the dispute as a developing legal and public controversy connected to the film’s subject matter, which is described as being inspired by Salman Khan’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
