Mark “Fishy” Salmon (33), of Kilbarron Avenue, Kilmore in west Dublin, is sentenced to prison following guilty pleas in connection with threats made to a woman over a debt of €157,000 and separate drug-related offences. According to reports, Salmon told the woman that her son would be raped unless the debt was addressed. The court also heard that he made threats to kill people and to damage property.

In addition to the threats, Salmon is found to have possessed cocaine and items connected to the proceeds of crime. Reports state that the cocaine involved is valued at about €35,000, and that he had proceeds of crime in his possession. The sentencing takes place in the Special Criminal Court, which handles certain serious offences.

He pleads guilty to making threats to kill and to possession offences relating to cocaine and the proceeds of crime. The reports describe his sentence as a result of these combined charges arising from the same case.
