Television actor Sorab Bedi has addressed online trolling after a viral video showed his interaction with paparazzi following the death of actress Sanchita Ugale. Ugale, 22, died on July 15, with reports citing an alleged suicide; investigations into the circumstances are ongoing. In Instagram Stories, Bedi said his comments were taken out of context and that he was not trying to be insensitive. He explained that a large group of paparazzi had approached him, so he focused only on questions from people close to him. Bedi said one paparazzo asked why Ugale had been calling him, and he replied that Ugale had been calling even while he was in Siliguri, adding that they had spoken there as well. He also said another paparazzo asked about Ugale appearing distressed and that he responded that she was “pareshan” and was sharing it. Bedi urged people to think before making remarks and said he does not usually respond to trolls, but clarified his position due to the escalation.
