DJI has officially launched the Osmo Pocket 4P, its first dual-lens compact vlogging camera in the Pocket series, with initial availability in China. The device was presented after a Cannes Film Festival debut, and the full specifications are now confirmed across outlets. The Pocket 4P uses a dual-camera architecture: a 1-inch wide-angle main camera combined with a dedicated telephoto lens, enabling 3x optical zoom and up to 12x hybrid zoom, with a 3-axis gimbal for stabilization. DJI also specifies 17 stops of dynamic range, improved imaging performance versus its predecessor, and 4K video recording at up to 240 frames per second. A 1,000-nit OLED screen is included. Pricing reported by multiple sources places the standard kit at CNY 3,799 (about $562). In China, DJI’s launch aligns with a competitive landscape that includes Insta360’s dual-camera pocket gimbal, the Luna Ultra. The two companies are also involved in patent litigation, with DJI suing Insta360 for alleged infringement and Insta360 responding with a countersuit.
