Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) reports that its mobile banking services are disrupted again shortly after a brief restoration. Earlier advisories said BPI restored access following days-long disruption caused by unexpected network connectivity issues, but the service later went down again on Tuesday. In a new advisory issued in the afternoon, BPI states that the latest disruption affects its mobile and online banking channels. The bank says customers may still experience slower response times as transaction volumes normalize. Despite the mobile and online outage, BPI reports that other banking functions remain operational, including branch services, automated teller machines (ATMs), and in-store card transactions. BPI also notes that payroll credits are processed as scheduled, allowing clients to access their salaries without delay. Users reported difficulty accessing the BPI mobile app again after restoration. The bank’s advisories indicate the recurring issue is linked to network connectivity affecting its systems, and it continues to monitor performance while services recover.
