Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has filed a lawsuit against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Lere Olayinka, described as a media aide to Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). According to reports, Ike’s case is filed in the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, June 15, under case number FHC/ABJ/CS/1272/2026. The actor alleges an unauthorised disclosure of his voter registration information and describes the matter as a breach of data privacy. The reports say the claim relates to events referenced in May, when Ike alleges his personal and voter-related data was leaked or shared without permission.

Ike is seeking N10 billion in damages from INEC and Olayinka. The outlets also indicate the suit is grounded in court filings that detail Ike’s allegations and his relief sought. INEC and the aide have not been described in the reports as responding to the claims at the time of publication.
