Netflix’s Korean school action drama “Teach You a Lesson” continues to perform strongly on streaming charts, according to Netflix and ranking data cited by multiple outlets. The series, released June 5, holds the No. 1 position on Netflix’s weekly non-English show chart for a second consecutive week. During the tracking week ending Sunday, it amassed 21.1 million views, rising from 6.4 million views in its debut period. Netflix data shows the show reaches the top spot in 46 countries and regions, while placing in the top 10 across an additional 91 locations.
The drama is based on the webtoon “Get Schooled” and centers on a fictional Educational Rights Protection Bureau, which is supported by Education Minister Choi Gang-seok (played by Lee Sung-min). Under Choi’s direction, inspectors—including Kim Mu-yeol, Jin Ki-joo and Pyo Ji-hoon (P.O of Block B)—target bullies who harm students, operating in an extrajudicial style within the show’s storyline.
Other reported rankings place the show at the top globally, including on FlixPatrol, where it is described as leading in dozens of countries. Viewers across regions discuss the series as relatable, drawing parallels between educational and disciplinary issues portrayed in the plot and those in their own countries.
