According to the reports, Yadav is currently in judicial custody after being arrested in connection with the case, with allegations that he received and passed on the leaked paper. In court, the judge notes that education is a fundamental right and that the National Testing Agency (NTA) does not object to the request. The court’s directions include arrangements for Yadav to attend the examination despite custody.
One outlet also reports that the court allows Yadav to attend his sister’s wedding, similarly under custody. The decisions have triggered debate on the fairness of allowing accused individuals to participate in the exam process while awaiting trial.
