Google starts rolling out Wear OS 7 to eligible Pixel Watch devices, with the update initially landing on Pixel Watch 2, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Watch 4. Across reports, Google says Wear OS 7 focuses on delivering more real-time information and improved efficiency. A key feature is Live Updates, which provides live event tracking on the watch and syncs with other Wear OS devices, including examples such as sports scores and ongoing delivery status. The update also adds a media output switcher to help manage where audio is played from the watch.
In addition, Google indicates broader connectivity and future interaction support, including capabilities related to upcoming smart glasses. Separately, Google confirms that select Wear OS 7 devices will receive Gemini Intelligence features later this year, such as Create My Widget and app automation tools.
Google also states that users upgrading from Wear OS 6 can see up to about 10% longer battery life, reflecting system-level improvements included with the update.
