Boston Fleet goaltender Aerin Frankel is named MVP of the 2025–26 PWHL season and also receives Goaltender of the Year honors. Multiple outlets report that Frankel becomes the first goaltender to win the league’s MVP award since the PWHL’s launch. She leads the league among goaltenders with a strong record, finishing with 19 wins in 26 starts, and she posts a league-leading stretch of 18 starts in which she allows one or fewer goals against. The season award comes after Frankel is recognized as co-leading the PWHL alongside top performers in other roles.
Yahoo Sports also reports that Frankel finishes ahead of Montreal goalie Ann-Renée Desbiens and Minnesota forward Kelly Pannek, who leads the league in goals (16) and points (33). The MVP presentation is described as being made by Billie Jean King, who is a member of the PWHL advisory board and associated with the MVP trophy’s namesake. The awards are reported as announced on Tuesday night.
