Fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph return from injury and are named in a 15-man West Indies Test squad for a two-match series against Sri Lanka. The players are not related; Alzarri Joseph is from Antigua and Barbuda, while Shamar Joseph is from Guyana. Both missed earlier international tours: Alzarri Joseph is reported to have sat out the India and New Zealand tours with a lower back injury, and Shamar Joseph missed the same tours due to a shoulder ailment. Shamar Joseph also comes into the Tests after a strong stretch in the tour’s shorter-format matches, including a player-of-the-series performance as West Indies beat Sri Lanka 2–1 in the T20 portion of the tour. The squad announcement follows their recovery and availability for selection. The series is set to consist of two Test matches against Sri Lanka.
