The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) orders all gaming operators and related stakeholders to replace existing responsible gaming advertisements with materials promoting the newly launched 24/7 National Problem Gambling Helpline (NPGH). PAGCOR says the directive is issued to strengthen public access to the helpline and follows a June 9 memorandum from its Gaming Licensing and Development Department (GLDD). In its Wednesday statement, PAGCOR instructs its licensees and other concerned entities—including suppliers, gaming system administrators, gaming venue operators, and others—to use PAGCOR’s NPGH advertising template. The order covers both traditional and digital public-facing promotional materials, including billboards, wallscapes, and digital displays, as well as other out-of-home advertising. PAGCOR Chair and CEO Alejandro Tengco states that existing gaming-related responsible gaming ads must be replaced with the NPGH materials, reflecting PAGCOR’s rollout of the 24/7 helpline. The outlets report that the directive applies across gaming-related advertising used by covered parties under PAGCOR’s oversight.
