Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) suspends the Students’ Union Government (SUG) president and two senior officials following allegations of unauthorised collection of money from students. The suspension is announced in a university statement signed by the Registrar, Mr Mufutau A. Ibrahim. According to the statement, the affected officials include a director and a deputy dean, in addition to the SUG president. The allegations concern the collection of funds from students without authorisation. FUOYE states it has taken the action as part of its internal disciplinary process while the matter is investigated. The university’s announcement indicates that the suspended officials and the SUG leadership face consequences pending further review of the claims.
