Philippine government agencies say they have not received official communication regarding reported International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants involving Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and two former police officers. Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte had claimed on social media that ICC arrest warrants were already issued, citing a “highly reliable source.” Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla stated that he has not received any formal notice. He said he also discussed the matter with the Secretary of Justice and that neither of them had received formal information. The National Bureau of Investigation, led by Director Melvin Matibag, similarly said it has not received any official communication on the alleged ICC warrant. The Philippine National Police said it has not received any official “communication documentation or directive” from any government agency related to the claim. The Department of Justice also reported it has not received official ICC communication. Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV added that no ICC warrant has yet been issued, urging the public not to believe the claims until official documentation is available. Separately, Bong Go denied violating any laws in relation to the alleged warrant.
