A three-vehicle chain collision is reported on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway “Missing Link” corridor near Borghat, Maharashtra. The crash occurs around 10 a.m. near about KM 03/600 on the Pune-bound stretch. According to police and officials cited by multiple outlets, a Toyota Fortuner (MH 05 CH 3512) travelling from Mumbai toward Pune reportedly comes to an abrupt stop in the third lane. A following Hyundai Verna (AP 39 LW 9979) then rear-ends the Fortuner. Moments later, a third car (MH 02 DZ 8640) collides with the rear of the Verna, resulting in a chain reaction involving all three vehicles. The collision damages all vehicles, with images described showing heavy damage to the front and rear portions of the sedan. Emergency response teams, including highway traffic police and Borghat police, reach the site and remove the wrecked vehicles using cranes. Traffic is briefly disrupted on the Missing Link corridor, but normal flow is restored after clearance. Police state that no casualties or injuries are reported. Authorities urge motorists to keep safe distances and avoid sudden braking.
