Lionel Messi’s team and the organizer of the “GOAT India Tour” in Kolkata are trading allegations over disruption at Salt Lake Stadium. According to communications shared with police, Messi’s team accuses former West Bengal Sports Minister Aroop Biswas of causing chaos during the event. The team’s email alleges Biswas repeatedly touched Messi, brought unauthorized individuals onto the field, and violated event protocol and security arrangements. Those actions, the team says, contributed to Messi’s early departure from the stadium.

The event organizer, Satadru Dutta, has also spoken publicly about the dispute, saying he believes the minister is being protected from arrest and that Biswas is being blamed for the incident. Dutta has challenged the minister’s protection from arrest in court and previously raised concerns about Biswas.

Police have not issued an official comment in the reported accounts, and the allegations are contested. The situation centers on whether the disruptions resulted from actions by Biswas or from broader event security and coordination failures at the venue.
