Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem says an understanding reached between Iran and the United States marks a “great victory” and a “pivotal point” for Lebanon. In a televised address on Wednesday, Qassem credits Iran for “linking the Lebanese arena” to the talks and for helping “force Israel to stop its aggression,” while urging Lebanon to take advantage of the moment to push for the expulsion of Israeli forces.

Both outlets report that the deal is not yet officially released. However, they say American and Iranian officials, along with Pakistan as mediator, have indicated that the proposed agreement includes Lebanon. Qassem also extends congratulations to Iranians, Hezbollah’s “resistance,” and other regional and international supporters who, in his view, seek independence and freedom.

The reports present Qassem’s comments as Hezbollah’s public reaction to ongoing Iran-US negotiations, framed around the implications for Lebanon and the regional conflict, without providing additional independent confirmation of the agreement’s contents beyond officials’ statements and the mediation claims.
