In a televised address on Wednesday, Qassem credits Iran for “linking the Lebanese arena” to the talks and for helping “force Israel to stop its aggression,” while urging Lebanon to take advantage of the moment to push for the expulsion of Israeli forces.

However, they say American and Iranian officials, along with Pakistan as mediator, have indicated that the proposed agreement includes Lebanon. Qassem also extends congratulations to Iranians, Hezbollah’s “resistance,” and other regional and international supporters who, in his view, seek independence and freedom.
